This International Symposium on Camping and Environmental Education is funded by the Ministry of Education and the Tourism Bureau of Transportation and Communications. It is organized by the Department of Civic Education and Youth Leadership of National Taiwan Normal University, and the Formosa Camping and Caravanning Club. The venue of the Symposium is kindly provided by the Taiwan Hospitality and Tourism in Hua-Lien.
It is anticipated that the Symposium will contribute to the understanding of how global changes in economic, social, political, and cultural dimensions affect the camping and the environment. It is also anticipated that the Taiwan Camping and Environment Declaration to be announced in the Symposium will reflect our determination to create a global camp community with its major concern on the protection and sustainability of our Earth.
